A large number of SEWA Delhi’s members work as domestic workers in the households of other people. They are benefiting from various programme of SEWA Delhi such as the microfinance, capacity building programme and linkage with social security schemes of the government. In its effort to strengthen its work for this group, SEWA Delhi has initiated a campaign for domestic workers which aims at making them aware of their rights and enabling them to organize for collective strength. As part of the membership campaign, SEWA Delhi has successfully organized more than 2000 domestic workers and is presently engaged in linking them and their families with various social security schemes of the government and the different programmes of SEWA Delhi.
