Being informed about our rights and benefits is an important aspect of the process of empowerment. Keeping this in mind, SEWA Delhi started its information service program in all the areas of operation in the year 2008. Besides giving information about various developmental programmes run by SEWA in their own areas, the aim of this program is also to make each and every member aware of various social security schemes provided by the government and help them to avail those benefits.

SEWA Information Centers have been set-up in all slum and resettlement colonies where SEWA Delhi is working with the objective to facilitate the linkage of the members to social security schemes such as Old-Age Pension, Widow Pension, and Ration Card etc. The desk is also equipped with all the addresses and phone numbers of government offices, hospitals and serves to help the members in case of any problem or emergency.  Another initiative taken by SEWA Delhi is the setting-up of a toll free number. This number enables the members to get information about the various programmes of SEWA Delhi and the different social security schemes of the government.
